Tuesday, May 20th
Well, it didn't take long for my train to derail.I needed to work adjusted hours today, which meant I got to come in late. I figured I would get up at my regular time and do my run in the morning. That didn't happen. I just can't seem to run in the AM. It didn't help that it was raining. Since I also had to stay late, I didn't get in a run at all.
Monday, May 19th
I have exactly sixteen weeks to train for this year's big race. It's much earlier in the year this time around, and the scheduling kind of caught me by surprise. There was such a delay in announcing the venue that I had kind of given up on the race even happening. Alas, my condition waned drastically during that time of despair, so now it's time to cram in the miles. To that end I eked out a three-mile jog today, just as it started to rain. It's not much, I'll admit, but I was under a time crunch and three is better than zero.
