The Quest for a Half Marathon in all 50 States
I'm trying to run a Half Marathon in all fifty states. I'm just counting Half Marathons. Not full Marathons, not 5Ks, only Halfs. Why? They're easier to recover from than Marathons; they're tougher to finish than 5Ks or 10Ks; and they're easier to find than, say, a 30k or twenty-miler.
My current tally is SIX states, as listed below:
Alaska:
2003—Midnight Sun Half (1:30)
California:
2003—Big Sur Trail Half (1:49)
Nevada:
1998—Las Vegas Half (1:38)
