Comments: I watched more Tour de France today. Once again, I successfully predicted the stage winner, Tom Boonen. Without Petacchi in the race, I don’t think anyone can beat Boonen in a straight-up sprint. I think he can easily win four stages, and likely the Green Jersey.

Despite having the World's greatest sporting event on TV, I did get out of the house today. I ran the Firecracker 5000 downtown. It started just before midnight, and it made a couple loops around Seattle Center. I thought I ran strongly, but was quite disappointed to see I slowed down over the final mile. I thought I'd been speeding up. At least my times are improving—not bad for only two weeks of (inconsistent) training.
