Saturday, December 3rd Vegas, Baby! Resting Pulse: Not Recorded Weight: Not Recorded Course: None Distance: Zero Time: N/A Other Exercises: None Weather: N/A Comments: I spent the day in Las Vegas with Angie, Jake, and Troy. There were supposed to be five more people coming along, but they all bailed at the last second. It worked out for the best though, as it made logistics quite a bit easier. There was only one open seat on the first flight down, which Angie took. The next flight wouldn't arrive in time for her to see her cousin's wedding ceremony. I hopped on the second flight with Troy and Jake, arriving in time for the reception. I missed the grand entrance of the bride and groom, however, as I got lost in Caeser's Palace. It's hard to find anything but the slot machines when you're wandering through a casino. Troy and Jake headed downtown while Angie and I were at the reception. We met up with them later for dinner and drinks. We ended up behind schedule and had to rush to get back to the airport. The cab ride there might have been the most exciting spectacle of the day. If the car had been six inches longer, we would have been in three different accidents. My seatbelt didn't work, so I was especially nervous during the zigging and zagging. After a little snafu at the ticket counter, we rushed through airport, breaking into a run when we heard the final boarding call for our flight. We made it to our seats panting and out of breath. We then sat for twenty minutes as there was a delay loading the bags. All that running was for nothing. Headwinds delayed us an additional twenty minutes, so we didn't land until 1:30 in the morning. We were all dragging ass by the time we got back to my house. |
