Running In Circles |

Wednesday, May 24th Course: The Wrecking Yard Distance: 4 Miles Time: Not Timed Comments: I ran an easy four miles today. When I started out, it was sprinkling ever so slightly. Five minutes later, it was pouring. Ten minutes after that, it was a deluge. If I'd run any further, it would have been a swim workout. I think I would have stayed drier if I'd stood in the shower. I had to wring out my clothes before I put them in the laundry. My legs felt good though, except that I've had a twinge in my left ankle that won't go away. It's nothing serious, but it is annoying. I renewed my car tabs this afternoon, a process that took way too long. First I had to wait in line at the emission testing center. Then I had to wait in line at the DOL office. Then I had to remove my old license plates and install the new ones. (In Washington, license plates are replaced every seven years. You can pay a fee to keep your old ones, but that seems silly.) Then I went to the dentist. Two excruciating experiences in one day—yay me! |
